MILAN - Massimo Moratti once again spoke to the press outside the Saras offices.

Is Andrea Stramaccioni's time at the club officially over?

"I believe if you visit the Inter club site you'll see it's official."

Has this been one of the hardest sackings of your tenure?

"They're never nice. But let's say it for what it is: for now this change is due to the fact that we'll have a tough year and I thought we needed a coach with the experience of Mazzarri. That doesn't diminish the fact that we rate Stramaccioni as a talented coach, with potential, and I'm sure he'll become one of the best coaches in Italy."

Have you spoken to Stramaccioni?

"Yes, I've spoken to him all week. Don't think that's not been the case."

Has he realised that the decision was based on the fact the team suffered too many defeats?

"The reasons might even safeguard his professionalism because perhaps he was particularly unlucky and, at this moment in time, he might need to find himself in an easier situation than the one at Inter. But with the year he's had he will find that. It won't be an easy situation because we'll need to show we're very good and also of course have a bit more luck."

Walter Mazzarri is a gutsy coach with a lot of experience.

"Yes, the decision was made with a big focus on that."

What do you expect from Inter? Will it be a comeback year?

"We expect to do well every year. Now let's see what happens in the transfer market. We'll speak to the coach about that and we'll see what comes out of that and then our hopes based on how good the team is."

So the fans need not worry? You'll build an Inter side to win trophies?

"We didn't start badly this season, it was an Inter side capable of winning but then we had a series of catastrophes, in terms of injuries, that meant we didn't do as well. We'll certainly try to rebuild to have solid targets."

And what of reports, over the last few days, claiming you wanted to sell Inter?

"No, come off it."

Bekas pelatih Napoli, Walter Mazzari, akhirnya diangkat sebagai pelatih tim utama Inter, hanya 24 jam selepas Andrea Stramaccioni dipecat. Dari pernyataan yang dipampang di website resmi Inter, Mazzarri diberitakan telah menandatangani kontrak dua tahun dengan Inter.

"FC Internazionale ingin mengumumkan bahwa kami telah mengangkat Walter Mazzarri sebagai pelatih utama baru", baca pernyataan yang ada di website resmi Inter.

"FC Internazionale juga mengucapkan terima kasih kepada Andrea Stramaccioni yang telah memberikan komitmen dan profesionalitas luar biasa terhadap klub, khususnya pada tahun yang sulit ini."

Walter Mazzari sebelumnya diunggulkan untuk menggantikan Andrea Stramaccioni, apalagi setelah Mazzarri menyatakan kalau ia tidak akan memperpanjang kontraknya dengan  Napoli, yang akan berakhir musim ini. Pencapaian Mazzarri musim ini dengan Napoli, yang mana Napoli berhasil menduduki posisi ke dua klasemen (posisi tertinggi Napoli dalam lebih dari 20 tahun) dipercaya merupakan alasan utama perekrutan Mazzarri oleh Inter.

Musim 2013-2014 nanti Inter hanya akan bermain di kompetisi domestik saja, karena hanya berhasil menduduki posisi 9 Liga Italia.

Hari ini Inter memecat pelatih Andrea Stramaccioni, menyusul hasil-hasil di musim 2012-2013 yang mengecewakan. Keputusan ini diambil hanya 14 bulan setelah Stramaccioni diangkat sebagai pelatih Inter, menggantikan pelatih sebelumnya, Claudio Ranieri. 

Klub Nerazurri berpisah dengan pelatih muda ini setelah kegagalan Inter merebut hasil juara di musim ini, dan hanya dapat menduduki posisi 9 saja di klasemen Serie A, hasil yang jauh di luar ekspektasi Inter.

Director Olahraga Marco Branca menginformasikan pemecatan ini kepada pelatih berusia 37 tahun tersebut melalui telepon. Saat ini masing-masing pihak masih dalam negosiasi untuk membahas kompensasi pemecatan ini.

Stramaccioni sebelumnya adalah pelatih Inter Primevera dan meraih reputasinya dengan memenangi kompetisi 2012 NextGen series, versi Champions League untuk remaja, dengan mengalahkan Ajax Amsterdam di final kejuaraan. Setelah kemenangan tersebut, Massimo Moratti mengangkatnya sebagai pelatih utama dengan kontrak tiga tahun. Namun hasil yang tak kunjung positif mengharuskan Stramaccioni hengkang dari Inter.

Walter Mazzari, yang menyatakan akan meninggalkan Napoli awal minggu ini, diberitakan diunggulkan akan menggantikan Stramaccioni.

There is rumor spreading that Inter are going to hire Roberto Mancini as the replacement for current coach, Andrea Stramaccioni. During an interview, Inter president, Massimo Moratti, refused to actually rule out the move. 

Roberto Mancini formerly coached Inter and won 3 consecutive Serie A thropies throughout a four-year stint from 2004 until 2008. Currently Mancini is unemployed after sacked by Manchester City following a thropy-less season in the Premier League. It was believed that he is one of the many candidates to succeed current coach Andrea Stramaccioni.

"Is mancini a choice? Anything’s a possibility in soccer", Moratti told reporters, before stressing that no final call is established relating to the future of Stramaccioni.

New Manchester United coach David Moyes in reportedly interested in making Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia his first buy but faces competition from the likes of Manchester City, Juventus and Atletico Madrid.

The 25-year old Itlaian international may also be interested in a move away from the San Siro side with Inter finishing in a lowly 9th position this season with Champions League looking unlikely anytime in the near future with their diminishing squad.

According to reports from Talksport, Ranocchia is a target of Moyes as the former Everton manager looks to sure up the defence for next season.

The former Genoa man completed a move to Inter Milan in 2011 for a value of £16m which could mean that the Italian club are seeking an offer in that region as to redeem their initial transfer cost for Ranocchia.

Inter Milan's superstar midfielder Fredy Guarin is in talks with Tottenham with Andre Villas Boas interested in signing his former player at Porto.

The Columbian international has been a shining light in Inter's dismal campaign with the Milan club falling behind the likes of Udinese, Catania and Roma in recent weeks and now sitting in 9th spot with one game to play.

Tottenham have asked for Inter to name their price and £7.5 million or more could be enough to clinch the signing.

Guarin has 46 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 10 goals and making 11 assists.

Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti is believed to interested in a move for Barcelona and Spain player Cesc Fabregas.

The former Arsenal captain has also been linked with cross-town rivals AC Milan and also a return back to the Emirates stadium.

These teams have been given hope in their pursuit for the 26 year old with the Euro 2012 champions not willing to commit his future to the Catalans after they lost to Bayern Munich in the semi-finals of the Champions League 7-0 on aggregate.
